Before you buy
What counts as a company?
Each business you work for is one company. For each one you choose its modules — Payroll, Scheduling, Bookkeeping, any mix — and where it's used (online, Windows or both). Payroll depends on its active employees: EMP10 up to 10, EMP20 up to 20, EMPMAX unlimited. Scheduling depends on the staff on the schedule.
How does the first-year offer work?
50% off Payroll and Bookkeeping for one year from the day your account is created, on every company you add during that year. Then the regular price applies automatically (we email you a month before). Scheduling and Online + Windows are always at their regular price. Accounting firms have their own price instead.
Can I buy without a trial?
Yes — click Buy now, create your account, confirm your email and pay by card. Your first company is ready straight away. Add more companies any time: you enter the company, choose its plan and pay, and it's added once the payment goes through.
How does yearly billing work?
Yearly is 12 months paid once a year. Each company can be monthly or yearly; all of them bill on your account's one billing day. Switch a company between monthly and yearly on your Subscription page — the change starts on its next billing date.
What does the free trial include?
One company, for 30 days — online, in the Windows app, or both together. Adding a second company means choosing a plan and paying for both; the trial company becomes read-only if the trial ends without a plan.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time on the Subscription page. Monthly plans run to the end of the month you already paid for (no credit). Yearly plans keep the months used plus a 3-month fee and refund the rest to your card. Full details are in the Recurring Payment Agreement.
Is the Windows app included?
Yes. For each company you choose where it's used: Online only or Windows app only at the same price, or Online + Windows — both, synced automatically — for $5 more a month. You can change it later on the Subscription page.
Do accounting firms get a special price?
Yes: $3 Payroll + $3 Bookkeeping per client per month, any number of employees. Apply with your business licence on the "For accounting firms" page; once approved you get a link to create your account, and every client you add is billed at that price automatically. A new client's first bill covers 3 months, then monthly.
Is my card information safe?
Payments are handled by Stripe. BooksAuto never sees or stores your card number.
